More classes
The classes on this list are not necessarily by recommendation. A good teacher should offer you a trial class for free to see how it suits you. Take advantage of this and find a teacher/class that you feel most comfortable with. Everyone is different. Make sure your teacher is suitably qualified, has insurance, a public performance license and ideally offers you a biography.
Afra (see the links page) has some good advice on what to look for when finding a teacher and class.

Basic belly dance for fitness and health at Dane Bank College, South Cheshire.
Every Thursday night 7.30 - 9pm and runs for 10 weeks at a time.
I am a holistic Practitioner/Reiki Master, and started dancing when I was 49. I attended courses at Burton Manor on the Wirral with Shirley Kingston. And also had private tuition in Congleton for 2 years. Now I am teaching the basics, since 2002 at Dane Bank college. It's opened up my life, and for ladies of my age (56 and beyond) it brings so much freedom from women's problems in later life. I am trying to get a course for over 60's sorted out, as we have a waiting list and everyone wants to learn it.
