Turkoman and Asian Coats
These are very special items from Central Asia. The traditional coats are individually hand made from silk mix fabric, lovingly hand embroidered and lined with coordinating silk-mix fabric.
All are old. Some have minor repairs but I try to leave them in original condition, as they are collectable items. Slight flaws merely add to their charm and authentic feel. All the coats I sell are in wearable condition.
They're made in traditional folk wear style, using straight lines, creating a lose, comfortable fit. Some have 3/4 length sleeves, so they look fabulous worn over a drape sleeve costume.They are just fantastic to wear as a cover-up, light , warm and richly coloured.
They also look great over jeans.
