Adjusting Silk Sari Pants

Sari pants too long?

Don't want to lose border pattern if you take them up?

Here's a simple solution, devised by Colleen (a Pedralta student - thanks Colleen!). You don't need special sewing skills or a machine.

  1. Lay the sari pants out

  2. Turn them inside out

  3. Measure the length you need

  4. Make a small tuck inside the fabric, above knee length, on the main trouser leg, reducing the length by the required amount.

  5. Hand or machine stitch along the tuck.
